Businesses have mistakenly attributed different levels of importance to productivity, or how much is produced, and quality, which is the level of excellence of what is produced. Some how many businesses saw increasing productivity as more important than producing quality products and services. That has been a mistake. Many companies recognize that quality and productivity are equally crucial. Quality and productivity are two factors in the same equation. Together they are equals customer satisfaction and business success. Many of the highly successful organizations described that they need to define their business expectations in the context of quality and their productivity.
